This website has been put together as a dedication to my Dad, Harvey Quail who sadly passed away on 25th September 2005, aged 84. It will serve as a permanent reminder of the Midlands Gliding Club in Gwelo / Rhodesia ( Gweru / Zimbabwe ).
The content will be as varied as the members and ex members wish it to be by sending me their pictures and memories. As some pictures and text content may be included prior to a members knowledge, please if there are any comments or images that you may find offensive and I shall remove them from the site.

The Midlands Gliding Club was formed in 1958, with Harvey being one of the founder members. His dedication to flying, the Club and the pilot training continued right through to 2005 in spite of fuel shortages for launching and the lack of members in the later years. It would be a fitting tribute to keep the memories of all those years alive for many to read and enjoy.
